It's essential in life for them to have the best education that we can provide,” Anthony Brown said. “We provide help, resources, support wherever they're having issues. We try to stay hands-on and involved with the process, teachers, and schools, and identify problem areas or low-scoring areas to get support in those areas.”
Angela Brown believes YLC provides additional learning support to her daughters. “I think YLC targets where they're learning. It's an active, educational afterschool program versus just them sitting there for three hours and not doing anything. YLC embraces what they need afterschool and gives that one-on-one attention that they need.”
Their daughter received individual tutoring in reading after YLC staff members identified her need for additional help in that area. “I was unaware that YLC had brought in a reading tutor for Imani, identifying that she had issues there, I didn't even know that you guys did that,” Anthony Brown said.
“I think you all do a wonderful job. And you provide something that is very beneficial to our children,” Angela Brown said.
